About Our Cabins

The wood for our cabins and lodges is black spruce, the driest, strongest, most stable log available, kiln dried to 15% or below moisture content. It possesses very tight growth rings offering prefferred stability characteristics when exposed to moisture fluctuations. When it is time to stain the cabin, black spruce provides results that are consistent win appearance and application.

The floor boards utilize a #1 Dense Southern Yellow Pine. The tighter growth rings make the boards stronger and the best choice for high traffic areas. Because of the tight growth rings, they weigh 15% more than #1 Yellow Pine.

The combination of wood choices for wall logs, floor boards, and miscellaneous components is made with caben longevity in mind. The carefully selected materials produce a product designed to withstand the rigors of day-to-day use and the harshest of weather elements.

Competitively Priced

The technology utilized in the manufacturing process increases operating efficiencies. The result of increased efficiencies is a product more cost-effective to manufacture and one that provides value-added savings to our customers.

There is a Life Time Warranty on the logs and a 15 Year Warranty on the roof of all cabins.

Please note: Arkansas Hunting Cabins is only selling the Cabin Kits and Arkansas Hunting Cabins is NOT installing the kits. Arkansas Hunting Cabins will provide a list of construction crews to install the cabins or lodges, or the buyer can obtain his own crew for installation.

The prices on this website are for kits only. Sales tax, delivery of the kits, and unloading the kits is not included in the sale price of the cabins.

  • Our Log walls are full length up to 28' in length. This eliminates unsightly log joints and reduces the possibility of air and water infiltration.

  • Our superior corner interlocking system with its compression fit is the most precise in the industry, which helps to eliminate gaps. The lack of gaps ensures a stronger, more weather tight structure.
  • We use only ACQ environmental friendly pressured treated material for porch and foundation supports.
  • We use only high quality pre-sized #1 Dense Southern Yellow Pine flooring. Our flooring is a full grade above number one, providing you with a beautiful, durable, long-lasting floor.

Notice the tighter growth rings in the #1 Dense Southern Yellow Pine photo to the right. The tighter growth rings significantly increase the board's strength.

  • Our open beam roofing system uses only solid wood glue laminated structural beams. These beams not only provide an elegant finish but are stronger and straighter then conventional logs. See About Conestoga's Open Beam Roofing System
  • We use only superior warranted Marvin wood windows, the best that the industry has to offer.
  • We pre-wrap with a protective covering to help shelter log components during the storage and building process cycle.
